Senior Project Fire Explorers

seniorprojectThe Training Division, in collaboration with the winters High School, participates in a six month program for high school seniors and their senior projects by providing an introductory firefighting training program to prepare seniors that may be interested in a firefighting career. The program is designed to give students a history of the fire service and learn about the fundamentals in fire behavior, firefighter safety, hose and ladder evolutions, vehicle extrication, wildland firefighting, structural firefighting, Incident command System (ICS) and obtain certification in first Aid & CPR. Students attend classroom instructions and train on manipulative skills together to learn about teamwork.
